Did you ever have those fantasies where you were some kind of martyr? I think it’s universal. I think when you are young you want to be the one to sacrifice for someone else because you watch someone do everything for you. I think we kids of the 80’s and 90’s and 00’s have to deal with that. Someone else did it all for us. It’s like we have to wait in the batter’s box until we are 25. I guess we are a spoiled generation, but keep in mind it was your choice to give us what we wanted…and when we were still unhappy you gave us prozac. And when that didn’t work you just learned to deal with our acting out. It’s good to know that in the end it was just part of growing up, but it still feels odd.
I guess there was a depression generation and then there was a depressed generation.
