Traffic lights totally have a purpose but often times really suck…especially when the cities I commonly drive through are under construction and there are super amounts of traffic. I really want to know the process that city planners go through to decipher whether or not to put a traffic light on a timer versus a sensor. It would be super interesting to see all of the numbers that they input into all of their probabilities because each city has their own requirements and their own system. Also, it’s probably not good of me to memorize how certain lights on various streets operate—I guess I can blame that on years of running on city/suburb streets or just being a very anxious driver. In the grand scheme of things, street lights are super prevalent within our society and they keep us all moving from place to place.
Now don’t you feel better?
